Nationality:
- Those who belong to any nationality including Nepalese, Indian, Bhutanese, or Tibetan Refugee (who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently in India can apply for the examination
- Those who come under PIO or persons of Indian Origin and migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and East African Countries to settle permanently in India can also apply.
Education Qualification:
- Candidates who should have graduated in any of the disciplines from some recognized education board can apply for the exam.
- Also, male candidates who aspire for the Delhi Police Sub-Inspector post must possess a valid driving license and apply for the examination.
Age Limit:
- 20 years, is the minimum age limit.
- 25 years, is the maximum age limit.
- There will be an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and 3 years relaxation for those belonging to the OBC category.
Exam Stages:
SSC CPO Stage 1 examination is a computer-based test and the second stage is the online examination which is specifically for the English language only. Both the examinations will appear in Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. As soon as you clear stage 1, you need to clear the Physical endurance test or PET test which is also called a medical examination then only you can move further to Stage 2. - Stage I: Two Exams will take place Paper-I and Paper-II

SSC CPO 2022 Exam Pattern:

Exam Pattern Paper 1:
- PET/PST and Medical Test

- Every section comprises 50 marks with 50 questions each. The candidate will get 2 hours for solving 200 questions.
- There is negative marking as well as other government-based examinations. There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks on every incorrect answer. No interview for the posts of Sub-Inspector, and assistant sub-inspector in Delhi police.

Exam Pattern Paper 2:
- In General Intelligence & Reasoning: Verbal and non-verbal type, the candidate needs to answer the questions including analogy. They have to answer at least 5-7 questions based on semantic analogy, symbolic/number analogy, and figural analogy.
- In Classification, candidates are required to answer at least 7 to 9 questions based on semantic classification, symbolic/number classification, and figural classification
- In Series, answer 3 to 5 questions on number series, figural series, and semantic series
- Coding-Decoding, there will be 2 to 3 questions based on coding by analogy, coding by words, coding-decoding by letter shifting, etc.
- 1 to 2 questions will be based on blood relations which include coded blood relations as well as the family tree
- There will be 0 to 2 questions from Ordering & Ranking.
- 4 to 5 questions are to be based on the Alphabet or Word Test. These questions come up in the form of jumbled words, sequence, matrix, word formation, etc.
- 1 – 3 questions will be based on distance and direction.
- 4 to 5 questions are based on Venn Diagrams which include Venn diagrams, syllogisms, logic, etc.
- Then appear 1 to 3 questions on missing Numbers which includes Matrix & Diagrams, Number as well as Alphabet based.
- The puzzles portion includes 4 to 6 questions based on the seating arrangement, circular arrangement, linear arrangement, etc.
- The Data Sufficiency part consisted of 5 to 7 questions on Arithmetic Operations, Cubes & Dices, etc.
- There is the possibility that 1 or 2 questions may be asked from the topics like Drawing inferences, & un-folding, Figural patterns- folding and completion, Indexing Address matching, Date & city matching, etc.
Physical Endurance Test (PET) for Male Candidates:
To test the physical capabilities of male candidates, the exam conducting authority will commence the following:
- 100 Meters Race in 16 Seconds
- 1.6 Km Race in 6.5 Minutes
- 3.65 Metres Long Jump gave 3 Chances
- 2 Metres High Jump given 3 Chances
- Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 Metres given 3 Chances
SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test (PET) for Female Candidates:
Just like male aspirants, female candidates also go through the following tests to show how physically capable they are:
- 100 Meters Race in 18 Seconds
- 800 Metres Race in 4 Minutes
- 3 Chances for 2.7 Metres (9 Feet) Long Jump
- 3 Chances for 0.9 Metres (3 Feet) High Jump
