Application Fee:
Candidates of the general category will make a payment of Rs.100/- as an application fee. On the other hand, candidates belonging to SC, PH, ST, and Ex-Servicemen categories need not pay any application fee. Payment has to be done via online mode using modes like BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/Net Banking, or by using Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, RuPay Credit, or Debit card.

It is crucial to follow the eligibility criteria laid by the SSC board and then start applying. Here are the complete details for eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- If you have applied for SSC JE (Civil), BRO Ministry of Defense then you must have passed 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering or equivalent diploma from some recognized University.
- If you are applying for SSC JE (Electrical & Mechanical) BRO Ministry of Defense then you must have completed three years Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering from some recognized University.
- For Civil Junior Engineer, then you must have completed BE or B.Tech or Diploma in Civil engineering stream from any recognized authority
- For Mechanical Junior Engineer, the candidate must have completed BE or B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical engineering stream from any recognized authority
- If you have applied for Junior Engineer Electrical & Mechanical, BE or B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering stream from any recognized authority is a must qualification.
- If you have applied for Junior Engineer Quantity Surveying and Contract, the candidate must have completed the Intermediate examination in Building & Quantity Surveying Diploma from some recognized Institute or else must have done BE or B.Tech or Diploma in Civil engineering stream from some recognized authority
- For Junior Engineer Electrical, BE or B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical engineering stream from some recognized authority is a must.
Age Criteria:
- For the Central Water Commission and the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the prescribed age limit is 32 years.
- For the Department of Posts and Military Engineer Services (MES) (Quantity Surveying and Contracts), the age limit is 27 years.
- In other departments, the prescribed age limit is 30 years.
- There is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category candidates. OBC category candidates will get an age relaxation of 3 years and PH (General) for 10 years, PH (SC or ST) for 13 years, and (OBC) PH for 15 years.
SSC JE 2022 Exam Pattern:
SSC JE 2022 exam is divided into two parts Paper I & Paper II. Candidates can find below SSC JE 2022 Exam Pattern related information below:
Exam Pattern for Paper I:
- The Examination will consist of two papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type).
- Paper will be objective type carrying 200 marks.
- The candidate needs to complete the paper in 2 hours.
- Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
- There will be a negative marking of -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning comprises 50 questions for 50 marks each.
- General Awareness comprises 50 questions for 50 marks each.
- Civil, Electrical & Mechanical engineering comprises 100 questions for 100 marks each.
Exam Pattern for Paper II:
- The paper will be the subjective type for 300 marks with 3 parts.
- Those who are allowed to use the scribe can complete the paper in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
- Part A will be General Engineering (Civil & Structural), Part- B will be General Engineering (Electrical) and the last part will be General Engineering (Mechanical)
- Use the Admit card to download the result for each exam.

Admit Card:
Download the SSC JE Recruitment 2022 Admit Card from the official website using online mode. You will not be receiving an admit card through the post. This card comprises crucial information such as the name of the candidate, date of birth, exam date, exam venue, etc. The candidate is required to carry this card along on the exam date at the exam venue or else no permission will be granted to attend the examination.
Answer Key:
SSC JE Recruitment 2022 Answer key will be announced through the official portal. The answer key will be released for Paper 1 comprised of all the sets. Via the answer key, it is easy to analyze the performance in the examination. The answer will be released a few days after the exam gets over.
Exam Result:
The examination result will be announced one by one for both papers. The result will also be available on the official website and students can check the exam result through the official website. You can use the admit card to download the result.
Cut-Off Marks:
Cut-off marks comprise of least scores attained for clearing the exam. Candidates need to attain equal to or more than the cut-off marks for qualifying for the exam. The cut-off will be announced for both papers consecutively.
