SSC JHT 2025SSC Jr. Hindi Translator 2025: Staff Selection Commission conducts a national level exam to fill the posts of Jr Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices) for the candidates who are eligible to apply for these posts.  All the interested candidates can apply for the exams by submitting online application forms. The official notification for the post of SSC JHT Registration 2025 (in Subordinate Offices) Recruitment is declared in July 2025. Those candidates who had applied for this post have to give the exam which is conducted in January.

SSC JHT 2025 Application Form:

  • The candidates have to go to the official website.
  • Then reach the home page and where they can click the link to apply for the online SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2025 Application form.
  • Then, the format of the application form will become up on the screen. Then you have to fill all mandatory fields like Select Centre and Code, Name of the candidate, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, Category, postal address, etc.
  • After you have filled up all the information, you have to click the continue button. Candidates should then check their form once again and then submit and make payment.
  • After submission of the form, you will get a registration number slip for the fees submitted. These documents should be kept by the candidate for future reference.
  • Now candidates need to log on to the official website by using registration no. and DOB. Then they need to upload a digital photo & signature and hit for final submission.
  • After the complete process, they should take a printout of this filled application form for future use. Candidates can send their completed applications to any Regional Director of SSC where they want to have their examination center.

Application Fee: 

  • Candidates must pay Rs.100 as the application fee. Candidates from SC/ST/PH/Women & Ex-Servicemen do not need to pay any fees. If you are applying Online, Net Banking is accepted.

Fee-paying Procedure: This can be done either through an online payment system where the candidate will have to pay Rs. 100  either through an SBI bank challan or through the option of net banking for any other bank or by using a credit or debit card. The other option for the candidates is using the offline payment of Rs. 100 using Central Recruitment Fee Stamps that must be pasted on the application form.

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2025 Eligibility:

Age limit:

  • Contenders should be between 18 to 30 years of SSC Junior Hindi Translator Vacancy. Relaxation to the reserved category candidates will be given as per got norms. SC/ ST candidates will be given 5 years of relaxation and OBC Candidates will be given 3 years of relaxation.

Education Qualification:

For post codes ‘A’ to ‘D’(Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translator in various Central Government Ministries/Departments / Offices):

  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
    or
  • Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
    or
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level;
    or
  • Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
    or
  • Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

SSC JHT Recruitment 2025 Job Details

Candidates who are finally selected for the SSC Jr. Hindi Translator post get the Rs. 9300-34800/-  pay scale with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.

Exam Pattern for SSC Jr. Hindi Translator:

Exam Language: The exam is conducted in both Hindi & English since checking the command of the candidate over their English and the Hindi language is the main criteria for this exam. This exam is undertaken only in offline exam mode. The exam is conducted as a written exam for the candidates. Exam Duration: The total duration of the exam is a total of 4 hours, (2 hours for the part 1 and 2 hours for part 2). Part 1 carries 400 marks and is written the exam and part 2 is conducted as an interview carrying 100 marks.

Part-I:

  • Paper-I (2 Hrs duration), General Hindi test will of 100 marks & General English be of 100 marks.
  • Paper-II (2 Hrs duration): In this paper, candidates have to attempt the translation of two passages one from Hindi to English and the other from English to Hindi. They also have to write two essays one in Hindi and the other in English. This test will carry 200 marks.

  • The personality test/ Interview carries 100 marks in total. Important Points About Exam Pattern

  • Since the exam is conducted in Offline Mode, the candidates are expected to carry a Blackball pen & paper to write answers to the questions in the exam.
  • There is a negative marking in the examination.  Candidates should be aware of this. They should understand that for every wrong answer they will lose 0.25 marks.  Candidates will get 1 mark for each to write answer and will lose 0.25 for each wrongly answered question.
