SSC JHT 2024: SSC JHT examination is commenced by Staff Selection Commission for Recruiting Eligible Candidates for the post of Junior Hindi Translator in government sectors like Railway Board, Central Secretariat Official Language Service, Armed Forces Headquarters and into other subordinate offices. SSC JHT 2024 will be the upcoming examination that will open an opportunity for candidates to appear in the examination and try their luck.

SSC JHT 2024 Application Form:

Candidates will receive an SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2024 Application From the official website of SSC. Apply for the exam after applications are released. Two stages to fill the application form are as follows:

  • Get the official website and choose “Register now” mention in the Login Section
  • In one-time registration, enter the information mentioned below:
  • Candidate’s name, Aadhaar card Number, father’s name, Mother’s name, matriculation examination details like board’s name, roll number and passing year.
  • Gender candidate
  • Make sure that you give the correct email ID, mobile number because the Username and password will be sent to your email address.
  • After entering the details, choose “submit” to complete the one-time registration. Make sure that you fill the crucial details correctly. You can change the details after the final submission.
  • After this is done, you will receive the registration ID and password in email and password.
  • Utilize two details for completing the registration form. This can be done within a week after filling the application form.
  • The rest of the details need to be filled such as the Candidate’s Category, Nationality, identification marks, details about disability.
  • After details are entered, save details.
  • After entering the details, save the details.
  • Give the details about contact details including present and permanent address and save the details.
  • Lastly, upload the scanned copies of the photograph as well as the signature. Make sure that documents need to be uploaded according to the specifications mentioned on the website otherwise documents won’t be accepted. In case you do not have the Aadhaar card, then upload the scanned copy of the left-hand thumb impression.
  • Save details and take a print out for further help.
  • Choose “Final Submit
  • After this is done, one-time registration is done. Collect the application form by using the user name and password. Details that are mentioned will be automatically filled.
  • Fill in details such as exam centre, eligibility for reservation, etc
  • Lastly, submit the application.

SSC JHT 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

  • Those who are eligible to appear in the examination will be permitted to appear in the examination. The candidate must a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a refugee who came to India prior to 01-01-1962 with the intention to settle permanently in India.
  • Those who are of Indian origin and migrated from Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Zaire, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Burma, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India can also apply for the examination.
  • Those who are other than Indians, need to provide the certificate of eligibility issued by the government of India. Such candidates need to be ready with the certificate whenever asked for.

Eligibility Based on Age:

The age limit for those who are applying for the General category must be of age 30 years. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes will get age relaxation of 5 years, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes will get age relaxation of 3 years, the person with a disability will get age relaxation of 10 years, Person with a disability and Other Backward Classes will receive age relaxation of 13 years, Person with a disability and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes will receive the benefit of age relaxation of 15 years, and Ex-servicemen will get age relaxation of 3 years. Other than this, those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 will get age relaxation of 5 years, Defence Personnel who are disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in any areas of disturbance and released because of that will get age relaxation of 3 years, Defence Personnel who are disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in any area of disturbance and released because of that will get age relaxation of 8 years

  • There will be two papers
  • The medium of the paper will be English and Hindi as per the subject
  • Paper will be Objective Type and subjective Type both
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks which will be reduced for every wrong answer in paper 1. However, there will be no negative marks for unanswered questions.
  • Paper I will be General English containing 100 questions for 100 marks for 120 minutes duration.
  • General Hindi containing 100 questions for 100 marks
  • Paper II will be Translation and Essay containing 200 questions for 200 marks and time duration will be 2 hours

Important to Note: Extra 40 minutes will be given to those candidates who use scribes.

Admit Card:

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2024 Admit Card of the examination will be available through the official website. It is usually published a week prior to the exam. There will be no proviso of sending admit card through the post. Thus download the admit card which contains crucial details like the name of the candidate, examination centres, roll numbers, etc.

Exam Result:

The examination result will be published on the official website. Usually, results will be announced after a month of the exam. Go through the website to seek the exam result. To check the result, go through the steps mentioned below:

  • Move onto the official website of SSC
  • Choose the link consisted of the result
  • You will receive the result in PDF format.
  • A candidate who successfully clears the exam will catch the details in PDF as well. These details include Roll number, Name of the candidate, etc.
  • There will not be any scorecard as such. Marks will be released in the later stages.
  • Those who successfully clear paper 1 will appear in paper 2. Those who clear paper 2 will be called for document verification.
  • If two candidates get the same scores then it will be sorted out by tie.
  • Total aggregate marks attained in Paper I
  • Total aggregate marks attained in Paper II
  • Candidates who are older will be provided with the first preference and Date of Birth
  • Alphabetical order of the applicant’s name

Cutoff:

Cut off marks are the minimum marks attained by the candidate to clear the exam. Cut-off marks will be different for different categories of candidates. Cut-off marks are dependent on factors like the Number of candidates appear the exam, the level of difficulty in the exam, the number of seats under each post and number of seats, etc.
