The application for MBA courses will be available in Online and offline mode as well. This is mandatory to fill the form, without filling it; there is no other way around to appear in the exam. Below are the steps to remind and follow:
- Students who want to get from the online mode will be able to get from the official website of the university when the form gets released. The official website is Thapar.edu.in
- For the offline mode, the application form will be available on the University campus or candidates can get it via speed post as well.
- It is highly advisable that forms only be downloaded from the official website or bought from the university campus
- Candidates should first read the application form and fill in the details, like – Personal, Academic, and other.
- For the online mode, upload and scan passport-sized photographs with the real signatures. For the offline, paste your photo and mark the signatures on the application form.
- Applicants do the payment of Rs. 1200 via Credit/Debit card or Net banking and via DD in the favor of University for offline mode.
- After payment gets done, submit the form for the online applicants and send the main copy of the form with the required documents to the university address.

Thapar University Eligibility:
The Eligibility Criteria for Thapar University Admission 2024 is comprised of some terms and conditions, which have to be kept in mind by the students. Applications can be rejected as well in case of not meeting eligibility criteria. Following are the details –
- Candidates are must be of Indian nationality
For B.Tech.:
- Candidates must have completed the 10+2 intermediate or equivalent examination from any recognized board and at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
- Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as their mandatory subject in the qualifying examination.
For MCA:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
- Candidates must have Mathematics as their mandatory subject in the intermediate or graduation.
For MBA:
- Graduate Degree in any discipline with 50% in aggregate marks or CGPA or grade secured from recognized University/Institute. OR
- Post Graduate degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate or CGPA or Grade from a recognized University/Institute. OR
- A graduate degree with a pass in all parts/sections of the Intermediate examination of CA/ ICWA/ ACS.
- Candidates having extraordinary managerial/leadership potential demonstrated through at least one year of experience are exempt from having 50% marks in their graduation/post-graduation.
- Candidate must have valid CAT/ NMAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ SNAP/ Thapar Entrance test score.
Exam Pattern:
The pattern of exam for Thapar University Admission 2024 is the same as the previous year. Any changes will be updated as soon as the notification of the university gets released. Though, the pattern is –
- Quant & Verbal Aptitude Test – Thapar Management Aptitude Test (60 mins in duration), on the day of the interview.
- Non-verbal Aptitude Test – A 40 minutes test on non-verbal reasoning, conducted on the day of the interview, and is mandatory for all applicants
Admit Card:
After the application process gets over, you will receive admit card through official website. Collect all the details mentioned in the admit card such as candidate’s information and exam related details. It is important for candidates to carry this admit card to the exam centre. Download this admit card to carry it to the examination centre.
Thapar University 2024 Result:
The result of Thapar University Admission 2024 will be declared after the commencement of the exam. Tentatively, after one month of the exam. The results will be available on the university website and the candidates must enter their credentials to open the result or you can download it from there as well.
It is highly advisable to keep a copy of the results for the future course. The result list will be the deciding factor, whether the applicant gets admission in the course or not.
Counselling Process:
- First, the counseling process will be held for the gate-qualified students.
- Candidates who get shortlisted on the basis of Gate scores need to attend counseling with documents and an interview.
- Fees have to be paid at the same counter after admission
- After the counseling of Gate qualified students, the university will call the students qualified for the university entrance exam
- Applicants must get their documents verified at the time of allotment of the seat.
