TNAU Admission 2022: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is a known university located in India which aims at providing admission for various programs based on comprising food production processing, agriculture techniques, and home science to the candidates. Eligibility Criteria:

Check below the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University 2022 Eligibility Criteria for all Courses:

For B.Sc in Agriculture:

• The candidate’s age should be more than 21 years during the time of admission. However, there is no age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST & SCA.
• The time duration of the course is 3 years and 6 years
• Students must have successfully cleared class XII with at least 60% marks in any of the subjects mentioned below:

1. Group I: PCM or PCB
2. Group II: PCB with an elective (fourth) subject connected to the Science stream. Students should ensure that evaluation for this subject will be considered in terms of marks and not in terms of grades.
3. Group II (A): Students with subjects like Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, and  Botany which are equally eligible for B.Sc Course.

Eligibility for BE/B.Tech:

1. The candidate’s age must be more than 21 years during the time of admission. However, there is no age limit for students belonging to category SC/ST & SCA.
2. Candidates must have passed class XII with 60% marks in PCB/PCM or PCM and Computer Science.

Important to Note: Students who have completed class XII from the state of Tamil Nadu can only apply for seeking admission in UG courses and if not satisfying this condition then they must attain the permanent residency (PR) Certificate of Tamil Nadu state. Applicants are eligible to apply for two times (for general) and three times (for SC/ST).

Eligibility for Ph.D. (Integrated, Regular, By Research):

• Candidate must have attained M.Sc./ M.Tech. with at least 60% marks.
• Those who have attained 70% marks (SC/ST students) in aggregate

Eligibility for Postgraduate Courses:

• 31% for Open Competition (OC)
• 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC)
• 1% for Scheduled Tribes (ST) 1 %
• 26.5% for Backward Class (BC)
• 3.5% for Backward Class Muslim (BCM)
• 3% for Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars)(SCA)
• 20% for Most Backward Class and Denotified Communities (MBC)

TNAU Admission 2022 Application Fee:

• For UG Courses, the fee is Rs 600 /- and it is Rs 1000 /- for PG Courses. Those who belong to SC and ST category will pay Rs 300/- for UG courses and Rs 500/- for PG courses.
• You can make payment through online mode such as CR card/Net banking of any banks and for DR card cum ATM card use State Bank of India
• The fee will not be refunded once paid.

Scholarships will be given to the meritorious students who are applying for Ph.D. courses:

• Periyar Endowment Scholarship.
• Scholarship by the Central Government.
• Scholarships offered by the Indian Council for Agriculture Research, New Delhi.
• Adi Dravida Welfare Education.
• Free education to students belonging to the non-graduate family under State government scholarship.

TNAU 2022 Rank List:

TNEA Rank List 2022 has been released in October 2022. The rank list has been prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Class 12th.

• Click on the link to open a PDF document
• Download the PDF and search for the name of the candidate and the result
• Take the print out of the result.

TNAU Admission 2022 Counseling Process:

There will be no facility like update marks & campus allotment.

• Candidates will report to the University with all original and relevant marks sheets and documents.
• As per the position attained in the merit list, students will be called for counseling.
• Students will be given the chance to select the college and degree available during the time of counseling.
• Once the preference is made, it will not be changed under any situation.
