UGC NET June 2023 Application Form:
The candidates can fill out the NTA’s UGC NET June 2023 Application Form online from the official site. The instructions for filling out the application form correctly are given below.
- Visit the official website.
- Read the notification.
- Click on “Apply online” to fill out the registration form.
- Enter your personal information, like your email ID and mobile number.
- After that, the application number will be sent to the email ID and mobile number.
- Login again using those details.
- Select your subject, position, and exam center.
- Upload your “passport size photo” and “signature” in the prescribed file size, dimensions, and file format.
- Make the payment of the application fee through a debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.
- Submit the application form.
- Print an e-receipt of the fee payment.
- Also, print the application form for future use.
Application Fee (UGC NET):
- The application fee can be paid through credit/debit card or e-Challan (in cash to Syndicate, Canara, or ICICI Bank).
- The application fee, once paid, will not be refunded.
- General: Rs.1150/-
- Other Backward Classes (OBC)-(NCL): Rs.600/-
- SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs.325/-

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:
UGC NET 2023 Eligibility is based on the academic qualifications and age limit as described below:
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must qualify for their post-graduation or equivalent from any recognized university with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
- Candidates in their final year are also eligible to appear in the exam. However, they will be considered for the award of the JRF or professorship after they pass their qualifying exam with the minimum marks.
- Candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree post-graduation exam before September 19, 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) are provided an additional relaxation of 5% in the minimum mark requirement.
Age Limit:
- Assistant Professorship: There is no age limit for the UGC NET Assistant Professorship.
- Junior Research Fellowship: The upper age limit is 30 years as of December 1, 2023.
- The age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per the government of India norms.
Exam Pattern:
UGC NET June 2023 Exam pattern is given below.
- Mode of Examination: online mode.
- Type of Questions: Object Objective-type questions
- Duration: The exam duration for 3 hours. It will be organized in two shifts, i.e. First Shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Second Shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Papers: There will be two papers. There will be no break between papers.
- The medium of the Test: Hindi or English
- Marking Scheme: 2 marks for each question will carry.
- Marking Scheme: No provision of negative marking.

NET Exam Syllabus:
There are two papers for NTA UGC NET: Paper 1st and Paper 2nd. Candidates can check through the online UGC NET syllabus for both papers:
- Paper I: The UGC NET 2023 Paper I Syllabus will be common for every candidate. The syllabus topics will be related to comprehension, reasoning ability, diversity, and general awareness.
- Paper-II: The UGC NET 2023 Paper II Syllabus will depend on the subject chosen by candidates. The second paper’s syllabus will be related to bachelor’s and master’s-level subjects.

Admit Card:
The admission card will be made available on the official site. The admit card is an important document to bring to the test. The admit card contains information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, date of birth, examination date and time, exam center, photograph and signature, and so on. The UGC NET 2023 Admit Card has to be downloaded from the official site by entering the login credentials, like the application number and password. Candidates who do not have an admit card will be denied entry to the exam hall.
Result:
The NTA will declare the result online on the official website. In addition to the results, the answer keys will also be released by the authorities so that the candidates can match their answers with the correct ones. It is expected that the result will be declared by July 2023.
