Application Fee:

  • For UR/OBC category, the Exam fee will be Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/-
  • For SC/ ST category candidates, the Exam fee is Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/-
  • For Physically Handicapped candidates, there will be no exam fee but an online fee need to be submitted which is Rs. 25/-

UPPSC PCS 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Follow below some steps all these are the UP PCS 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

  • Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2001.
  • For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1967.

Educational Qualification:

  • Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport): Bachelor Degree in Law
  • District Basik Shiksha Adhikari / Associate DIOS and Other equivalent administrative posts, District Administrative Officer: Master Degree in Any Stream.
  • District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit): Bachelor Degree in Commerce B.Com in Any Recognized University in India.
  • Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-I) / (Grade-II): Bachelor Degree in Science with Physics OR Mechanical Engineering. As one subject.
  • Senior Lecturer, DIET: Master Degree with B.Ed.
  • Chemist: Master Degree M.Sc in Organic Chemistry with 3 Year Experience.
  • Officer on Special Duty Computer: Computer Engineering Degree OR First Class Master Degree with PG Diploma in Computer and 1 Year Experience.
  • District Cane Officer, U.P. Agriculture Service Group “B” (Development Branch): Bachelor Degree in Agriculture
  • Labour Enforcement Officer: Bachelor degree with Economics OR Sociology or commerce and Post Graduate Diploma OR Post graduate Degree in Law / Labour relation / Labor welfare / Labor Law / Commerce / Sociology / Social work / Social welfare / Trade Management / Personnel Management.
  • Management Officer / Manager Estate Department: Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
  • Technical Assistant Geophysics: Master Degree with 50% Marks Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Geology or applied Geology (with Physics, Mathematics at the B.Sc. Level.
  • Tax Assessment Officer: Bachelor Degree in Economics OR Commerce with 55% Marks.

UPPSC PCS Recruitment 2022 Exam Pattern:

UP PCS is divided into three different categories:

  • Preliminary
  • Mains
  • Interview

Note: Those who qualify for the preliminary examination will be eligible to give the examination from UP PCS 2022 Mains

Exam Pattern for Preliminary Exam:

The Preliminary examination will consist of two question papers.

  • The question paper will be objective type. There will be negative marking i.e. deduction of one-third marks for every incorrect response.
  • CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) will consist of 80 questions for 200 marks for a time duration of two hours. General Study will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks for the time duration of two hours.

Syllabus:

UPPSC Prelims Syllabus: Paper I

  • Current events of National and International importance: On Current Events of National and International Importance, candidates will be expected to know about them.
  • General Science: This section questions will be from general appreciation and understanding of Science including matters of everyday observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated person, who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline
  • Indian History: Ancient, Medieval, Modern: In History emphasis should be on a broad understanding of social, economic, and political aspects of Indian History. In the Indian National Movement, the candidates are expected to have a synoptic view of the nature and character of the freedom movement, growth of nationalism, and attainment of Independence
  • Indian and World Geography- Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World: In World Geography only a general understanding of the subject will be expected. Questions on the Geography of India will relate to the Physical, Social & Economic Geography of India.
  • Indian Governance and Polity: It covers details of Indian Polity, Economic, and Culture, questions will test knowledge of the country’s political system including Panchayati Raj and Community Development, broad features of Economic policy in India and Indian CulturePolitical System, Constitution, Public Policy, Panchayati Raj, Rights issues, etc.
  • Social and Economic Development: Sustainable Development Poverty Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity, and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
  • Environmental Ecology, Climate Change, and Biodiversity – general issues that do not require subject specialization: The questions will be in respect to problems and the relationship between Population, Environment, and Urbanisation. General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity, and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization, General awareness of the subject is expected from candidates.

The paper-wise official UPPSC syllabus is given below

Paper-II: Essay Paper Syllabus

In this paper, candidates need to write three essays (in about 700 words) in three hours. There will be three sections in the UPPSC Essay question paper and the candidates need to choose one topic from each section. The section-wise syllabus is as follows:

  • Section A: (1) Literature and Culture. (2) Social sphere. (3) Political sphere.
  • Section B: (1) Science, Environment, and Technology. (2) Economic Sphere (3) Agriculture, Industry, and Trade.
  • Section C: (1) National and International Events. (2) Natural Calamities, Land slide, Earthquake, Deluge, Drought, etc. (3) National Development programmes and projects.

General Studies I (Paper III):

  • Modern Indian history (from A.D.1757 to A.D. 1947): Significant events, personalities, issues, etc.
  • The Freedom Struggle- its various stages and important contributors/contributions from different parts of the country
  • History of Indian Culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, literature, and Architecture from ancient to modern times.
  • Post-independence consolidation and reorganization within the country (till 1965A.D.).
  • The history of the world will include events from the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century such
    as the French revolution of 1789, the industrial revolution, World Wars, redraw of national boundaries, Socialism, Nazism, Fascism etc-their forms and effect on the society.
  • Salient features of Indian Society and culture.
  • Role of Women in society and women’s organization, population and associated issues, poverty and developmental issues, urbanization, their problems, and their remedies.
  • Meaning of liberalization, privatization, and globalization and their effects on the economy, polity, and social structure.

  • Distribution of major natural resources of World- Water, Soils, Forests about South and South-East Asia with special reference to India. Factors responsible for the location of industries (with special reference to India).

General Studies IV- Ethics Syllabus (Paper-VI):
