WB TET 2022WB TET 2022: WBTET is conducted by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission for shortlisting the candidates to teach in the various schools of West Bengal. This examination is conducted as per the guidelines set by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). The full form of WB TET is the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligibility Criteria For Primary Teachers:

  • The candidate will have to get a minimum of 50% in the Senior Secondary or the Higher Secondary examination and also a 2-year diploma in elementary education
  • Minimum of 50% marks in the Senior Secondary or the Higher Secondary education and having a Diploma in Special Education that is recognized by the RCI
  • Graduation along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

The children belonging to the SC/ST OBC and other minority categories will get a relaxation of 5%. So they will have to get an aggregate of 45% in place of 50%.

Eligibility Criteria For Upper Primary Teachers

  • Bsc/BA or its equivalent education
  • Minimum of 50% marks in the Secondary or the BED examination
  • Qualifying for the 4 years Bachelors degree in Elementary Education
  • Appearing for the final 2 years examination ( BSc/BA/Diploma) and clearing the examination with a minimum of 45% marks.

WB TET 2022 Application Form:

In order to fill up the application form, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • The candidate will first have to visit the official website
  • In the home page, you will be able to get the West Bengal TET registration link
  • You will then have to find the Notification tab of the WB TET 2022 that will be in the PDF format
  • You will have to read all the necessary details and then proceed to the next step
  • If you are eligible, you will have to click on the registration button
  • Here also you will have to fill in all the necessary details and then upload the required files
  • It is necessary for you to be careful while filling up the form
  • Once you have checked the details you can submit the application form
  • Finally, you will have to submit the application form and then download it

Application Fee:

The application fee for the OBC and the General candidates is Rs. 100. For the students belonging to the SC/ST category, the students will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 25/-.

WB TET Exam Pattern:

You will have to appear for two tests and the candidates have the option of appearing for either Paper I or Paper II examination. There is no negative marking in the test. There will be a total of 150 questions that will have a total of 150 marks. The time duration for the examination will be 150 minutes. The total time duration for the 2 papers is 3 hours.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for Paper I includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Environmental Science, and Mathematics. The candidates appearing for Paper-II have to cover topics including Language II, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics.

Result:

The result for this examination will be published on the official website. The candidate will not get the scorecard in any other way. In order to download the results, you will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • The candidate will first have to visit the official website
  • Then he or she will have to click on the “Notification” that states. “Declaration of results”
  • In the third step, the candidate will have to provide details including the date of birth and the roll number in order to view the result
  • You will then have to click on the “Download” button and then save the result for references in the future
  • The certificate that is received after the successful completion of the examination will stay valid for 7 years starting from the date when the results are declared.

If the candidate gets  high score then his or her name will be listed on the merit list. This will be published a few days after the results are declared.

Answer Key:

7 days after the examination is over, you will be able to get the answer key published in the website. This answer key helps the candidates to calculate their scores before the actual results are declared.
