Steps to Apply for WBJEE 2024:
- Visit the official website of WBJEE.
- On the Homepage, click on the “Fill WBJEE 2024 Registration Form”
- Then click on “new registration” and Read all the instructions & click on Proceed button.
- Now enter your details like name, email id, and mobile number and click on the Submit button.
- Click on the ‘Image upload’ section and upload your recent passport size photograph and signature.
- Now click on the ‘Payment’ button and enter asked details.
- The fee will be paid online mode using a credit card/ debit card or net banking.
- Take the printout of the application form and keep it safe for other future references.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India
- Candidate must have completed the age of 17 on or before 31st December 2024. Those applying for Marine, engineering need not have the age limit of more than 25 years as of 31 July 2024
- Aspirants need to have citizenship in West Bengal. There is no need to have a domicile in case candidates looking for getting admitted to a private or self-aided university.
- Those looking forward to getting admission at Jadavpur University need to have a qualified 12th class examination from the CBSE board or state board with at least 60% marks and 55% marks for the reserved category.
- Just in case, if a candidate needs to take admission into other institutions (apart from Jadavpur University) then the minimum marks requirement would be 45% marks and 40% for reserved categories
- Make sure to not have any medical illness.
WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern:
Make sure to check the examination pattern of WBJEE 2024 for accurate preparation:
- The paper will be consisted of MCQs with four options for each question. The candidate needs to choose any one option from those four.
- Paper will be commenced in the offline mode.
- The candidate will get 120 minutes to complete the paper.
- There will be two papers-Paper-I for Mathematics and Paper II for Chemistry and Physics.
Category 1-Marking Scheme:
- Choose one correct option out of four.
- Applicant will get 1 mark for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of ¼ marks for an incorrect answer.
Category 2-Marking Scheme:
- Choose any one option out of four available options
- Candidate will achieve 2 marks for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of ½ mark for an incorrect answer
Category 3-Marking Scheme:
- The applicant will choose one correct option from the four given options
- 2 marks will be given for every correct answer.
- If the situation is that answer is partially correct then the candidate will be provided with 2 X number of correct options marked) divided by (total number of actual correct options)
