Welham Boys’ School Dehradun Admission 2022: The School Welham boys’ is a highly reputed and respectful boarding institution having great admiration resulting from the achievements of the pupils studying here. This is affiliated with CBSE board and is recognized as a public school. The school achieved one of the top-ranking positions amongst the top 5 boy’s boarding school in the country. It has been established in the year 1937 by the founder Hersille Susie Oliphant at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. There are three units in the academic structure. The junior school introduced from classes 6 to 7, Middle school from classes 8 to 9, and classes 10 to 12 treated as Senior school.

Welham Boys’ School Admission 2022 Application Form:

There is no system for special quota or reservation towards certain community or non-residents of India. Attention must be given to the below-mentioned points in order to get Welham Boys’ School Dehradun Admission 2022.

• Any creed and community are eligible
• Admission will take place from classes IV, V, VI, and VIII. For other above classes depends on the vacancy if available
• Candidate must be registered with the required process at the beginning of the admission
• Registration and application fee is not refundable or transferable in any case
• Registration will not confirm admission
• On the basis of Proficiency & Aptitude Assessment and also after conducting a successful interview session with candidate and parent selection will take place.
• The selected candidate will be offered admission.
• Admission fees need to be paid within the stipulated time mentioned in the offer letter otherwise admission stands canceled.
• All new students will be under one year probation year and during this time if a student does not progress properly then the school has the authority to cancel his admission stating his ill health or other unwanted causes.

The admission form of Welham school will be obtainable at varied times of the year. All forms related to admission will be available via offline mode i.e. from the school premises. Only forms for class 11 are available during the month of May but for the other classes, guardians are required to follow the school website. All admission forms must be submitted in the school’s office on any working day from 9 am- 12 pm before the due date.

Welham Boys’ School Entrance Exam:

All candidates applying for classes IV, V, VI, and XI have to seat for an entrance examination conducted yearly by the school at the varied times of the year. Class XI have their entrance scheduled in the month of May. Depending on the class a student is applying for the entrance test will be conducted. For admission in classes IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX students need to answer on topics related to English, Life Skills, and Hindi. For classes VIII and IX they need to answer an additional topic related to Science. English and Mathematics are common for all students seeking admission for class XI in any stream. For Science stream applicants need to answer on science-related topics and for Humanities stream Social science will be an additional topic in the entrance.

Interview Round:

Based on merit students will be shortlisted from the Welham Boys’ School entrance test. They will be asked to join for the interview session along with their parents after the successful completion of the entrance. The shortlisted candidates need to attend the interview according to the given schedule. In the interview round a student is judged on the basis of his communication skills and analytical aptitude.

Result and Cut off

The school will announce the final list of selected candidates in due time. Students will be issued an offer letter after both the rounds are successful. Candidates need to pay a seat booking amount before the due date in order to confirm admission from their part.

For classes IV and V, the admission forms will be available in the month of September. Admission forms for classes VI to IX will be obtainable in the month of December and for class XI it will be in the month of May. The results of the successful students are declared within 2 to 3 weeks of the admission test.

Other than studies students can enjoy participating in games like Badminton, Football, Squash, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Skating, Swimming, and Tennis which are always available on the school campus. Sports like tennis courts, basketball courts, a skating room, volleyball courts are available in the area of the heritage building. A spacious multipurpose hall equipped with high-quality sound equipment is the venue for holding all extra-curricular activities. In the middle school level, some action-oriented projects are introduced. They are encouraged by the support of a research lab and learning research centre. Some activities are earmarked as creative writing, paper recycling, design technology, kite making, pottery debate and dramatics photography, film society, chess club, and dance club. These opportunities are an important milestone for a student as it helps in his all-round development as an independent and responsible individual.
