WIT CAT 2023: The WIT CAT examination will be conducted by the L.N. Mithila Univesity Darbhanga (L.N.M.U).  Women Institute of Technology offers admission for the various Undergraduate Courses B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Bio Informatics and Post Graduate Course in Masters in Computer Application. Also, they provide admission into B.Tech Lateral Entry. Only female candidates can apply for the examination. www.wilnmu.ac.in is the official portal through which candidates can check the notification of the examination.

WIT CAT 2023 Application Form:

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal. In the month of September, tentative dates will be declared. Application forms can be filled in both online or offline modes.

• Candidates who want to apply offline can collect an application form from the Women’s Institute of Technology, Old Navoday Campus, Kameswarnagar, Darbhanga
• Fill in all the required details in the application form and attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Attached passport size photograph and signature with the application form.
• The fees payment can be done by making Demand Draft in the name of “Women’s Institute of Technology, LMNU” payable at Darbhanga
• The online form can be filled through the official website
• Fill in all required details in the application form like personal details, contact number, address, email id, qualification details, etc.
• Upload all educational documents, passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression.
• Pay fees online by using Net Banking, Debit card/Credit card.
• Take a quick review of the application form and do final submissions also take a printout of the duly filled application form.

Application fees:

There are two modes of paying application form fees

• Online fees of application fees are Rs. 1050/-
• Offline fees of application fees are Rs. 1000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Before applying for the examination candidates must have to check the eligibility criteria of the examination. There are different eligibility criteria for the different courses are as follows:

For Undergraduate Courses:

1. Candidates must have a clear intermediate or equivalent exam with the following subjects like Physics, Math’s, Chemistry and English or Physics, Chemistry, English, Math’s and Biology with minimum 50% marks in each from recognized Board.
2. Candidates who must have a qualified entrance examination test with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject are eligible to take admission.
3. For lateral entry in the B.Tech program candidates must have a clear Diploma examination in relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks from recognized boards/ Universities.
4. For lateral entry in the B.Sc. program candidates must have a clear Diploma examination in relevant subjects with a minimum of 45% marks from recognized boards/ Universities.

For Postgraduate Courses:

1. For taking admission in postgraduate courses candidates must have passed graduation in relevant stream with minimum 50% marks from recognized board/ Universities.
2. Candidates must have a clear entrance test with a minimum of 50% marks in a relevant subject.
3. Also, there are reservation criteria (40% marks) for the reserved category candidates.

Exam Pattern:

WIT examination patterns are as follows:

1. The entrance examination is based on offline mode; there are no online criteria till now.
2. There are multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the examination.
3. Examination Paper carrying total 150 marks.
4. The total time duration of the examination is 2 hours 15minutes.
5. Each question carries one mark.
6. For every correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark and there is 0 marks will be awarded for the unattempted question.
7. There is no negative marking scheme.
8. The distribution of marks according to section wise are as follows:

• • For B.Tech Entrance test: Subjects- Physics(50), Chemistry(50), Mathematics(50)
  • For B.Tech Lateral Entry: Subjects-General English(50), Engineering Mechanics(50), Engineering Mathematics(50)
  • For MCA Entrance test: Subjects- General English(25) Mathematics(50), Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning(50), Computer Awareness(25)

WIT CAT 2023 Syllabus:

Following topics according to the subject wise covered in the examination which is as follows:

• PHYSICS: Motion, Gravitation, Units of Measurement, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Coulomb’s law, Simple harmonic motion, Ray and Wave Optics, Magnetism, Capacitor in parallel, Semiconductors, Atomic Physics, Dual Nature of Matter, Relativity Atomic structure, Nuclear Physics, Matter-wave.
• CHEMISTRY: Atomic Structure, Classification of matter into solid, liquid and gaseous states, Dalton’s Atomic theory, Matter and its Nature, Chemical bonding, Molecular Structure, Covalent Bonding, Periodic properties Modern periodic law, S& P block elements, Chemical Energetic, Equilibrium, Bimolecular hydrocarbons, Hydrocarbons  classification, Solutions and its different methods.
• MATHEMATICS: Quadratics equations, Binomial Theorem, Complex numbers, The fundamental principle of counting, Sets, Relations and Functions, Probability, Arithmetic’s, Geometric, Harmonic Progressions, Vectors and Scalars, Integral as an anti-derivative,  Differential Calculus Polynomials.
• COMPUTER AWARENESS: Data Representation and Computer basics knowledge
• ENGLISH: Sentence and Paragraph Writing, Report Writing, Grammar and Comprehension, Elementary spoken English, Business correspondence, Precise Writing, Technical Description of things and Processes.
• Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: The question will be based on the quantitative aptitude and general reasoning and also question based on the given situation in the paragraph.

Admit Card:

After the all procedure of the application process the admit card will be dispatch by the university. University will send admit cards by courier as per the postal address you have provided in the application details. If in any case candidates will have not to receive admit card then you can contact the university and you will get a duplicate copy of the admit card. Candidates must have carry admit cards at the time of the examination centre. Candidates must have to keep admit card with them till the admission process has been completed.

Result:

The result will be declared after the examination and it will be displayed on the official website of the university. You can download and can check the passing status.

Counseling:

Candidates who get selected can call for the counseling process. Selected one must have to bring all the required testimonials with them at the time of admission procedure.
